Hyundai
5m and 7m Exhibition Trailers Masters Exhibitions and Shows designed and manufactured two new, innovative exhibition trailers for Hyundai. These trailers measured 5 metres and 7 metres in length. They boasted a curved canopy end feature and large glass pod with fitted coffee bar and unique children’s area. The manufacture of these trailers presented some interesting challenges to our workshop team. The bodywork was not a conventional square design and had large curving sections that required an alternative approach. We used a new manufacturing technique which we developed using previous experience. This design was an adaptation from the work on the American Express trailer. The Chassis design for these trailers was also unique. As part of our production warranty we inspect and service the trailers as required. We will also do our best to answer any questions raised by the customer and independent operator. We offer to collect the trailers for service and will return to either the operating base or the next show - as required. |
Drawbar trailers - This type of trailer are either made with a step frame design or as a flat floor with high floor deck. Small wheels and a design with careful consideration for weight distribution, provided the solution in this project.
Glazing - This design involved a large open-plan design using large amounts of glazing. Our solution was to work with specialist and use real glass. Real glass is durable, of a high quality and is the least likely material to scratch, as well as being ideal for long-term use. Glass also provided a sleek appearance with superb clarity and reflective properties.
Graphics - Large format graphics used in the design meant that all areas had to be flat, and capping sections needed to be hidden flush or avoided. Some areas also required removable display panels. This was required without any large expense - this was all achieved through clever design.
Flat floor Extension - The interior of the trailers needed to have a flat internal floor level in order for the sliding pod extensions to operate smoothly.
Fitting Out - The furniture was required to have a clean and professional appearance, at the same time as being large, durable, comfortable and striking. With these trailers being lightweight, the furniture needed to also be as light as possible. With the use of the right materials and some clever design ideas, our team of experienced carpenters produced the furniture to an extremely high standard, but at a fraction of the weight compared to standard household or shop furniture.
Project Managment and design - The manufacture and development of these trailers was made with our open door policy and the customer visited throughout the build process. They also received regular production reports from us.
